AFTER THE FALL
Written and performed by Johnny ray, developed and produced by Jessica Lynn johnson. Life had always been like Johnny ray planned until a tragic accident forces him to take a leap of faith and live by a Nelson Mandela. Winner of the Solofest 2021 “Resilience” award! airs Sunday, June 6 at 6:00 p.m. (PDT).
DOGS ARE BETTER THAN PEOPLE
Written and Performed by Sara Hunter, Developed and Directed by Jessica Lynn johnson. A sad story with a happy ending about the life of Sarah as told by her five dogs. This Best of Fest! solo show aired on Saturday June 12 at 7:00 p.m. (PDT).
YES? NO? PERHAPS?
Written and Performed by Catherine Barnes, Developed and Directed by Jessica Lynn johnson. After a disturbing medical appointment, Catherine’s inner social justice warrior, Professor Sarah P. Outrage, takes her on a hilarious musical tour of her own strained relationship with borders. Female Empowerment Encore Award Winner! The performances air Sunday, June 13 at 6:00 p.m. PDT.
FOR LOVE OR MONEY
An autobiographical solo exhibition written and performed by Mitchell Feinstein, developed and directed by Jessica Lynn johnson. The pandemic is forcing a successful 76-year-old businessman to examine his life choices, what he thinks he has accomplished and what he thinks he has lost – asking the question, can we learn lessons and make changes, or is it too late? World Premiere Encore Award Winner! The encore performances air Friday, June 18 at 7:00 p.m. PDT.
THE BOOK THAT DOESN’T CLOSE, Confessions of a Love Addict
Written and performed by TL Forsberg, directed by Jessica Lynn johnson, follows a bi-culturally fluid deaf woman through a series of bad relationships, a black comedy that includes music, dance, video projection and sign language. The show is subtitled and fully accessible to deaf / deaf and hard of hearing! The best of the party! The encore performances will air on Thursday, June 24 at 7:00 p.m. PDT.
WHERE ARE WE GOING FROM HERE? A pandemic cabaret.
Written and performed by Ana Guigui, directed by Menzies rod. The songs cover genres ranging from pop to blues to tango and more. The pandemic and life in lockdown have affected the way we conduct our daily lives, forcing us to reflect on the most fundamental questions regarding life and mortality. The best of the party! The encore performances will air on Sunday, June 27 at 4:00 p.m. PDT.
