How to design a logo in 5 easy steps
When you think of a blue bird, which company comes to mind? How about the letter “M” which forms two golden arches? These are two examples of logos that have become synonymous with the products they offer.
If you have a small business or work as a freelance, your logo is your showcase. It’s probably the first thing people see.
While your logo can be simple, it should represent what you do and make people remember you. If you don’t know how to design a logo, here are the steps on how to create a memorable logo.
1. Understand your business and your goals
Before opening Photoshop or rushing to hire a graphic designer, there are several questions you need to answer:
Why did you start the business?
What excites you the most about this business?
What makes your business the best at what it does? What solutions does he offer?
Who is your target audience (age, profession, socio-economic status, gender, etc.)?
What three words do you want your audience to use to describe your business?
What is the purpose of your logo? To provoke familiarity, get clicks, describe your service, help sell branded products or something else?

For example, if your business values include integrity and reliability, maybe you should go for straight lines and basic shapes. 4. How to create your own logo with this information
The previous steps should put you in a good position to understand what you want. Once you’ve gone through them all, create a mood board using Pinterest or just copy and paste it all into a Word document.
The table should include all of the images, fonts, colors, and logos you like. You can create multiple tables if you have a few concepts in mind. Show these boards to your colleagues to see what works best.

First of all, you need to make sure you have multiple sizes of your logo to fit any situation. For example, you might want a small, round logo for your Twitter thumbnail, a rectangle for your website header, and a print size square for your business cards.
